Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wal-‘ajzi wal-kasali, wal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa dhala‘id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal.

Translation: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, cowardice and miserliness, the burden of debts and being overpowered by others.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ

Transliteration: Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum, bi rahmatika astagheeth.

Translation: “O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, I seek relief through Your mercy.”

This Islamic dua for anxiety is easy to memorize and can be recited anytime—especially when you feel nervous or unsettled.

Another beautiful verse from the Quran that brings emotional strength is:

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Transliteration: Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer.
(Surah Al-Qasas, 28:24)

Translation: “My Lord, truly I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.”
